My name is Jennifer Warthan. I’m a farm wife, a Mama, a photographer and I spend my days surrounded by crops, children and animals.
My husband and I have lived in the same small town all our lives. Oh sure, we left for college but came back just as quick as we could. We love where we live, we love the friends we’ve known our whole lives, we love being surrounded by family and we know we’re at home.
We have three little girls and one strapping baby boy. We have a big old farmhouse and we decided to fill it up!
We work about 1200 acres of beautiful Virginia farmland and the whole process fascinates me even though I’ve been around farming my whole life. I hope you enjoy reading about the varying seasons and our good times on the farm!

Hey there! I love your blog! I love your photography! And I love Virginia! Of course, I was born and raised in Northern Virginia so for the rest of Virginia folks that’s not really even considered in the state
But my grandma had a farm in Dillwyn. I loved it. I miss it. Looking forward to keeping up with you and your postings and feeling nostalgic. 
Hey There! I’ve ran across your blog a few times now through Pioneer Woman. I just quickly wanted to thank you for your post today on her photography re: everybody entering regardless of skill level. I was just thinking to myself “I’m not really that great at photography….but I do have those sunset pictures I recently took. Will I look like a dork if I enter?” Thank you for the encouragement….and now I’m going to go upload my photo!
