My sister-in-law called me this morning very bubbly and excited.
“Have you seen any migratory birds lately?!?”
I…
uh…
well…
At that point I figured it was too late to lie.
So I just said, “Donna, I have no damned idea.”
And of course she was all, “Jennifer! You were going to LIE TO ME!”
Busted.
So I promised her that I would go out and look for migratory birds. I vaguely heard something about yellow-bellied-biscuit-eaters and purple-swallowtail-snickersbar before I rushed out of the door.
Look! Evidence of birds, at least.
Well. Here’s one thing NOT migrating.
Here! Here is a migrating Camoflage-Whirly-Chopper. These are plentiful in our area.
Ooh! What is this? Perhaps this is the elusive migrating bird. Or maybe it’s just a butterfly.
Darned zoom lens wouldn’t reach that far. I guess we’ll never know.

I’m so not ready for the migrating geese to fly over. That means cold weather is right around the corner. I really don’t want it to get cold yet.
Up north here where the cold winds blow the birds dont seem to be in too much of a hurry.
I cringe when I think of winter coming. My nerves are not settled yet from last winter!!!! Our icy roads were horrific and not to my liking at all.
They are a migrating here. Does that mean something? Should we be prepared for a long winter? or just an early one? I have no idea. I just noticed they plastered my family room windows as the flew on by. Yuck!
None here as of yet. Wouldn’t it be great to have a huge telephoto to reach out and see get pictures far out in the distance. Hopefully we’ll both have one of those someday.
Yeah, they are on the move here. I am not ready for winter either! Can’t it just stay Autumn a little longer?
Ha ha ha ha ha! Loved this!
Love the clear, blue sky…with no birds. hehe
Does anything migrate anymore? Especially those annoying Canada geese. The court where I work sells hunting license and I love to ask the hunters who come for the “duck blind” license why they are shooting defenseless, blind ducks! Their reactions are priceless.
We’re not seeing them around here yet although someone mentioned it at church the other day. Maybe they’re fudging a bit, too!
Blessings!

Particularly loved the non-migratory dog….
They are migrating here, but most of them are headed northeast. Would you ask your SIL to interpret that for me, please?
Absolutely loved wandering around your blog….really wonderful. Thank you…I will definitely visit again:)
