  • Welcome!

I'm a farm wife, a mama and a photographer living in Virginia.

My camera is typically filled with images of sunrises, dusty fields, even dustier children and whatever we happen to be planting or harvesting at the time.

    Thanks for visiting the farm!

A Good Combination

…is what we have. We have a small town and a big family – and we need them both now more than ever.

This week, my dad was diagnosed with cancer of the esophagus after not being able to speak for three months. We’re  confused and scared now but we’re trying to let hope overcome that.

I have been posting updates on Facebook for our friends and family. If you’d like to friend me, I use my name there – it’s Jennifer Griffin Warthan.

If you’d like updates by email my address is:  jennifer@thecottonwife.com

Your well-wishes and advice are appreciated!

My Aunts husband has this past three months been making a succesful recovery from throat cancer. It has been hard but with a great family backing him he has had hope through all the various treatments and tube feeding. Please know I will send prayers and that there is hope.

You’re absolutely right about that good combination – having family and good friends and “neighbors” (in the country, everyone’s a neighbor, even when miles apart) around is a comfort. I will add you and your family to my prayer list. Blessings!
