  • Welcome!

I'm a farm wife, a mama and a photographer living in Virginia.

My camera is typically filled with images of sunrises, dusty fields, even dustier children and whatever we happen to be planting or harvesting at the time.

    Thanks for visiting the farm!

Someone’s in the Kitchen with Ida

Someone’s in the kitchen I knooooowwwww…

Really, it’s the only thing that we can do right now.

Ida (now a nor’easter) is sitting right on top of us and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. It hurts a little. And we can’t breathe.

School was cancelled today and right now – at 3:12 pm – the girls are still wearing their pajamas.

We’ve built forts.

Read books.

Guerrilla attacked Keith with every available toy weapon in the house…

But for the past two days, we’ve wound up in the kitchen at every opportunity.

I’ve decided not to use my scales for at least a week.
