I got to have a photography exhibit.
Only I feel strange calling it “my” photography exhibit because it isn’t.
It’s my Meme and Papa’s photography exhibit for always wanting me at their farm – every weekend if we could sweet talk my parents into it.
It’s my Dad’s photography exhibit for sitting the family down together at the supper table and talking about his day working with farmers and teaching about the value of a successful season (“Hey Becky, guess what? We’re going to Hawaii!”) and of the devastation of a dry year.
It’s my father-in-law’s photography exhibit because he wanted his family to know what it felt like to own land, to hold onto it tight and to work it until the day they died.
It’s everyone who ever told me I was good… even when I wasn’t.
And everyone who calls me “Jenny Poo Poo”.
Good grief.
And it’s the friends and family who’ve kept their children in the country and in our small town and who believe in this wonderful way to raise a family.
It’s all of my friends and all of my family I love so much I could burst.
And you know who this exhibit really belongs to – the farmer in the family who makes this wonderful, silly, dusty, sunshine-on-a-rainy-day life of mine complete. Without him, I’d just have photographs of not much of anything.
Here is the entire exhibit (and then some) for you…

What a wonderful tribute to your family and your photography!
It is an awesome showing, Jennifer! You have such talent for showing why we raise our children as we do. Thank you for sharing it.

You must be on cloud 9, and deservedly so… Jennifer, your work is amazing, and that really hit me as I watched the slide show. You know I’ve always been one of your biggest fans ~ your passion for finding beauty in what most of us would overlook is what strikes me the most.

Cotton Husband!
I don’t think you have to worry about him taking over the photography business, I was cheesing hard in that picture he took of us!
Thank you for having me this weekend, I felt so welcomed and included and so well taken care of. And nobody haunted my bed!
Tell Miss S that her fox drawing is on my fridge. Squeeze those children for me and tell them that Katie and her Iphone says Hi! Next time I will have more videos for them to watch other than Spongebob, LOL!
xoxo,
Kate
