But we've had more than enough rain this summer. We're trying not to complain because its good for the crops, just not so good for trying to make hay. Makes for its own problems. No hay, long grass in yards, flooded everything including basements,no crops planted or needed to be replanted or never grew because of too much rain, etc., etc. I suppose it wouldn't be farming if we had just the right amount of rain and sun. So how often does the unit need to be moved throughout the day? How much water do you give it with each watering? We have had a very wet summer. Only watered the garden twice so far this summer. Had a big storm go thru the other night. One town had 11 inches of rain within a few hours. We had 4 inches which caused water in our finished basement. :( Would LOVE to share some of this rain with you!! Thats alot of work! Wow!! Here in Arkansas, we use two methods. Both involve an irrigation well. One is called a center pivot that, once hooked to the water source, pivots according to preset coordinates. The other is poly pipe. Hooked to the well, and laid along the highest end of the row and then cut with the pointed end of a bottle opener and allowed to flood the middles.
