I have little farming babies.
When they work, they work. Avery Ruth is in the living room now diligently working on something in her sister’s forgotten textbook from this morning. She’s quiet so I’m just going to assume the best. Sorry teacher.
When they play, they play.
And when they sleep, they sleep. I noticed this when my husband and I began dating… he sleeps every chance he gets. Those chances are few and far between and during some seasons he doesn’t even get much sleep at night. But when he can sit down for five minutes, he’s going to take a nap.
Right now we are in the middle of a rainstorm. Some of my neighbors are reporting 20 inches.
And all my babies are sleeping the days away with two or three naps and still they sleep all night long.
The hum of rain outside and soft sheets…
or a towel – anything will do…
and it’s night-night time for my sweet, warm babies.

Those are so precious! My husband is the same way with sleeping between working a full time job and our small beef farm some days he is lucky to get in a couple hours of sleep. I have learned to live with his odd sleep schedules or him falling asleep where ever he may be at the moment. After 20 years he is finally comfortable enough to go crawl on my moms bed to take a nap if we are at a family function. Now if we could only get Miss Sarah to take nap…
So precious!!! I always say my hobby is sleeping. I can sleep all afternoon then head to bed by 8 without any problems.
They look so comfy! That’s about all you can do on a day like this…..if you’re lucky enough not to be out in it!
What a timely post for me today – I’ve been so sleepy all day, but trying to tell myself I have things I need to do, and the weather is absolutely gorgeous! Hmm, maybe I’ll just pull the shades down and rest my eyes for a few minutes…
Your sleeping babies are so sweet and adorable!
Adorable! That’s all I can say.
Don’t float away! We are getting our fair share of rain up here too.
