I am writing today about a really special event to benefit our troops who have been wounded. My friend, Mary Margaret said it best here:
Hey friends! Wanted to make you aware of a fabulous event for a fabulous cause. On August 25th here at Aberdeen Farm in Smithfield there will be a fun filled day of food and music. KWO- Keeping Warriors Outdoors- is who will benefit. This organization was started by Kip West, who I want to school with. The organization helps our military who have suffered mental or physical injuries through trips in which they take them hunting and fishing. Most of all this allows those ‘warriors’ to have faith that life doesn’t have to be altered so greatly just because of their injury. To hear them talk about what this organization means to them is truly amazing. We have Darrel Worley a country music sensation performing along with other Nashville musicians (one who writes for Toby Keith) and then our hometown gal Heather Edwards will perform. Tickets are $50 each and get you all the concerts from 11-5 and also lunch which will be catered by Beach Bully from Virginia Beach. There will be a BEvERage truck available as well that day. We are advertising on 3 radio stations as well and hoping to really help this great cause. This is a great cause and you will have a great day! Sponsorships are also available for this event. Come share in a fun day of music and food on the banks of the James River!
